Special Benefit for IEEE DEIS Members: To encourage sustained IEEE DEI Society membership and support the long-term growth and sustainability of the IEEE DEIS Chapter, participants who have maintained continuous IEEE DEI Society membership for more than one year are eligible to present up to two accepted papers under a single full registration, provided that both papers are presented by the same registered participant. Participants willing to avail of this benefit may be required to provide proof of their continuous IEEE DEIS Society membership.


CATCON Outstanding Doctoral Research Award 2026

The organizing committee invites applications for the CATCON Outstanding Research Award 2026, to recognize outstanding doctoral research aligned with the technical interests of IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society and the overarching theme of the conference. Eligible candidates who have recently completed their Doctoral Research in areas related to dielectrics, electrical insulation, high voltage engineering, and allied domains are encouraged to apply. The award seeks to honor research demonstrating exceptional technical merit, originality, and relevance to both academic advancement and practical applications in power and energy systems. Student Travel Award

The organizing committee of CATCON 2026 is pleased to announce the Student Travel Award to support the participation of deserving student authors presenting their research at the conference. This award aims to encourage high-quality student contributions and facilitate wider dissemination of innovative work by providing partial financial assistance towards travel expenses. Eligible applicants must be registered students and authors (preferably first authors) of accepted papers at CATCON 2026.

Application for the Student Travel Award should be submitted using following Google Form. No other submission methods are allowed, including via email.


The students are required to submit ONE PDF that includes the following, in order:

  • Cover Letter mentioning the need for the travel support.
  • Letter on the institute/college/university letterhead endorsed by the head of the Department/Dean/Supervisor with stamp endorsing your student status.
  • CV (2 pages max. As per Template )
  • PDF(s) of the final paper(s)

Notification to Applicants: TBA.

Award presentation: At the “Valedictory and Awards ceremony”.

Eligibility Criteria

The student must attend in-person and present the paper in-person to qualify for receiving the award. Awards will be granted based on the quality of the work, the merit of the students, the need for the award, and the distance travelled by the candidate.
